Sun and Fun, Thursday March 31st.

posted on April 2, 2011 by denise

I've been to Sun and Fun about 5-6 times in the past, and it is always just that....lots of Sun, and lots of Fun. It's a great time for aviation enthusiasts to visit with one another, see other's builds, get great deals on parts, and share ideas. It's the perfect vacation for and FLYING!

Although I personally did not attend this year, Sensenich had representatives at the show every day, including Thursday.  The pictures and videos of the damage that mother nature incurred are heartbreaking. The man hours, and financial investment that go into creating these beautiful aircraft was, in some cases, taken away in the blink of an eye.

I want to personally take the time to let all our customers, and every builder or pilot out there know that our thoughts are with each and every one of you

Experimental vs Unairworthy

posted on February 12, 2011 by Denise

Many calls we field at Sensenich come from owners who have changed the original design of our propellers, sometimes through overpitching, or blade cutbacks, and simply stamped them as EXPERIMENTAL. It's always upsetting to us, as this can cause extreme safety issues.

All of our propeller designs have been thoroughly tested by our engineering department to ensure that they are safe for use. At times, this might involve placing an rpm restriction for some models, or a "no diameter redution" on others...for example.

There is a very infomative document in our documents section with some important definitions regarding this topic.
