Removing Material--The CNC Machine

The forgings are rough tracked (six different stations are checked for face alignment). The table, seen below, is used to place the CNC tail stops on the blade centerline.
The forging is mounted in the CNC machine with the tail stop clamped in position. The CNC follows a numerical program which cuts the hub and profile of each blade.
