ABOUT SENSENICH PROPELLER COMPANY

Sensenich Propeller was established in 1932 to manufacture fixed pitch wood aircraft propellers for the growing aviation market. In 1949 we began to manufacture wood propellers for the burgeoning airboat market. Aluminum propellers for aircraft was added to our product line in the 1950’s. During the 1960’s the use of UAV’s became prevalent and Sensenich was right there with propellers for the new industry. In 1999 We began our highly successful line of ground adjustable composite propellers for Airboat, Aircraft and UAV’s.

IN THE BEGINNING

It all started when two boys living on a dairy farm in Lititz, Pennsylvania got tired of trudging through the snow to the mailbox. The brothers decided to build an engine and propeller driven ice sled to make the trek…

Service Alert for 1st generation airboat blades!

Since 2019, our engineers have been extensively reviewing many of the early model Airboat blades and now have come to the conclusion that there is a high probability that of many of these sets have reached their life limit for operation. As many of you know in the Airboat world, blades get damaged, repaired, resold and used on many different power combinations through it’s life time. In each scenario, when a blade is damaged or put on a different engine, it can see different loads and vibration characteristics that over time stress the laminate to a point that it starts to fatigue. The loads that propellers
